VUI and its affiliated companies believe that your privacy is important.
Our website will collect no personal information from you when you visit. If you request information from us we will need to know enough about you or your company, such as email address or telephone number, as is necessary to return your communications. Should you contract with us to receive services, we will require further information about your organization, and potentially personal information about the employees and owners of your company. This information is stored exclusively in our encrypted computerized files at an undisclosed location. Our policies in this regard conform to the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act, which is federal legislation in Canada.
Under PIPEDA, personal information includes any factual or subjective information, recorded or not, about an identifiable individual. This includes information in any form, including:
- Age, name, ID numbers, income, ethnic origin
- Opinions, evaluations, comments, social status
- Employee files, credit records, loan records, intentions
Personal information does not include the name, title, business address or business phone number of an employee of an organization. VUI collects personal information for the following reasons:
- To provide the products or services that you have requested and maintain a business relationship with you
- To understand your needs and advise you accordingly
- To manage our business which includes partnership and employee matters
- To meet legal and regulatory requirements
We will not use your personal information for any reason without your consent.
We only share information with third parties in order to assist with the completion of the above items. Any third party's use must adhere to our privacy policies, or be allowed by the relevant legislation. Some examples of this would be our sister company in Costa Rica, VUCA, or a third party software specialist.
Like most websites, we do make use of statistical tools to help us track our success. For these purposes our analytical software will gather such information as IP address, the browser you are using to connect to our site, any referring site's URL and other such information. We do not have direct access to this information; it is used strictly for the purpose of displaying data tables and graphs regarding our web traffic.
We have established a senior member of our organization as our Privacy Officer. This individual is charged with maintaining our privacy system, reviewing our security and privacy protocols and providing training policies for all employees.
